Born
in Argentina and now an American citizen, Estela began her art career
experimenting in ceramics and mixed media, but
always within the framework of abstract forms. She then started to use
paper, glazes, acrylics and other elements for her collages, mixed media
and combined pieces, which emphasize her commitment to pursue more
abstract forms of expression. Lately, she has moved on exploring
decisively the combination of different elements in the mixed media
following the steps of well known contemporary American artists such as
Robert Rauschenburg whose influence is somehow reflected in her latest
works.
