Buddy Harper was
born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1964. He is a third generation artists
receiving his exposure in art from his mother, Michaele Ann Harper and she
from her father, Richard T. Harper.
Buddy attended the University of Louisville's Allen R. Hite Art Institute where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts, graduating in May 1995. Buddy received his Master of Fine Arts from Louisiana State University in 2003. His work is based from several sources, but primarily from his own experiences center in philosophy. Having a strong background in Drawing, his work is a balance between a classical approach to art and abstract expressionism.
